The Kingdom of
God!
Chapter 83
InThe Last two chapters I shared with you about the coming of the Lord. This revelation is something that you need to meditate on and read over and over until it becomes a part of your image of yourself. One of the problems that we all have as Christians is that we hear a good sermon or teaching that brings revelation to our spirit and then we move on to the next revelation and then to the next revelation and we never meditate on what the Lord is saying to us so we can allow the Spirit of the Lord to change our way of thinking.
Religion and the world are constantly trying to form the image of ourselves. The only thing that can form a true image of who we really are is the Holy Spirit of God that lives and dwells within us and if we meditate on what He reveals to us about who we really are, we will become like Jesus. We must be very careful what we hear. Jesus said in Mark 4:15-20, about the parable of the Sower, (NIV)
"Some people are like seed along the path,
where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the
word that was sown in them. Others, like seed sown on
rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. But since they
have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because
of the word, they quickly fall away."
Still others, like seed sown among thorns,
hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and
the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.
Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the
word, accept it, and produce a crop, some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred
times what was sown."
Jesus also said in Matt. 10-15, (NIV) when
the disciples asked Him why he spoke to the people in parables,
"The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do
you speak to the people in parables?" He replied, "Because the knowledge of the
secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does
not have, even what they have will be taken from them."
This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing,
they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. In them is
fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: 'You will be ever hearing but never
understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people's
heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have
closed their eyes. Otherwise, they might see with their eyes, hear with their
ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I
would heal them."
Why did those people have to be told things
spiritual in parables? Because their heart's had become calloused, or harden to
the truth, and their ears to hear the truth had become dull of hearing and
their spiritual eyes were closed so they no longer see the truth, even though
it is presented to them!
How does this happen to the people of God?
Because the spirit of religion has been preached to them over and over and
their hearts have been hardened to the truth and they can no longer hear or see
spiritual things when presented to them.
Jesus talked about this in Luke 6:47-49,
(NIV)
"As for everyone who comes to me and hears my
words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are
like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock.
When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it,
because it was well built."
But the one who hears my words and does not
put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a
foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed, and its
destruction was complete."
James said in James 1:22-25, (NIV)
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do
what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says
is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at
himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever
looks intently into the perfect
law that gives freedom and continues in it"not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it"they will be blessed in
what they do."
Heb. 4:12 says,
"For the word of God is alive and active.
Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and
spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and
attitudes of the heart."
The word of God is alive and when we store it
in our hearts, it brings forth life. I am not only talking about the written word, or the Bible, but I am
also talking about the spoken word that comes forth through His prophets. God
said in Amos 3:7,
"Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing
without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets."
Contrary to what a lot of Churches have
taught in the past and continue to teach today, God has assigned prophets to
speak His will to His Body, the Church. Paul talked about this in 1 Cor. 14:1
& 29-33, (NIV)
"Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts
of the Spirit, especially
prophecy."
"Two or three prophets should speak, and the
others should weigh carefully what is said. And if a revelation comes to
someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. For you can all
prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. The spirits of prophets are
subject to the control of prophets. For God is not a God of disorder but
of peace,as in all the congregations of the Lord's people."
There are a lot of churches that do not teach
about prophets and even deny that God still speaks to us through prophets. It
is no wonder that a lot of Christians today do not believe in God still
speaking to us. If you were to ask them if God ever speaks to them, they will
say, "No!" This is why the Charismatic move and the
Jesus movement in the late 70's, 80' and 90's was so popular. Christians from
all denominations were starving for the living word"!
Many came out of their denominations and
accepted the Baptism of The Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with
other tongues but like the seed sown on rocky places, they heard the word and
at once receive it with joy. But when trouble or persecution came because of
what they accepted, they quickly went back into bondage.
Jesus didn't say that the Christian walk
would be easy, but He said in Matt. 16:24-25, (NIV)
"Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever
wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow
me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their
life for me will find it."
I can testify to you that it is not easy to
leave the church that you were raised in and all your family and friends and be
condemned by those who you always loved and respected and walk into another
realm and make new friends and be led by the Holy Spirit. Not only did the Lord
give me many more friends but as time moved on, even those I had to leave
behind accepted me as their friend in Christ.
There are pioneers in the Kingdom of God who
go where no one dares go and break down traditions and false teaching and
declare what the Lord is saying. Many times, others will come along and have
great ministries because of what someone dared to step out and do. Anytime you
begin to declare what the Spirit of the Lord is teaching you; you will run into
opposition. If it cuts across traditional teaching, those who have accepted the
traditional teaching will oppose you and give you trouble.
The devil doesn't care what you believe as long as you are quiet about it, however, if you study and
realize that you have authority over your circumstances and you begin to take
authority over the devil and declare what the Lord says; you are in for a
battle. Paul said in Eph. 6:11-12, (NIV)
"Put on the full armor of God, so that you
can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark
world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
We need not be afraid of this, however, the
Great Apostle John said in 1 John 4:4, (NIV)
"You, dear
children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who
is in the world."
I want to encourage you today to read your Bibles, especially,
the New Testament and accept and meditate on what it says about who you are and
begin to walk in what it says about you. Scriptures like the following,
1 John 4:4, ""You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world."
Rom. 4:2-5, "If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works,
he had something to boast about"but not before God. What does Scripture say?
"Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." Now to the
one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However,
to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as
righteousness.:
Rom. 3:21-24,"But now apart from the law the
righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets
testify. This
righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through
the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
Rom. 4:18-25. "Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of
many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be."
Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as
dead "since he was about a hundred years old"and that Sarah's womb was also
dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God but
was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that
God had power to do what he had promised.
This is why "it was credited to him as righteousness."
The words "it was credited to him" were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will
credit righteousness"for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord
from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to
life for our justification."
These are just a few of the many scriptures
that you need to meditate on. We are the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ
because we have believed on Him and His righteousness
has been imputed to us because of our faith in Him.
On the political front:
The ACLU sent me this letter: |
|
David,
We've NEVER seen something this overtly evil in America.
A state is about to vote on a bill that could legalize
infanticide up to 28 days AFTER a helpless baby is born. This is sick.
The abortion lobby worships at the altar of abortion. It's
trying to make Roe v. Wade PERMANENT in every state and through Congress, even
if the Supreme Court overrules Roe. And now infanticide.
We're directly engaged in ten
cases nationwide to defend life and defeat Planned Parenthood " with numerous
looming deadlines next week. IN JUST DAYS, we're sending a critical legal
letter to the Maryland governor and legislators against this depraved
infanticide bill.
First, it was New York's live-birth
abortion law, and then the former governor of Virginia's horrific comments
about how an "infant would be kept comfortable" on a table while the
decision is made whether the child should live or die.
Now it's a disturbing Maryland bill that
intentionally uses the word "perinatal," which has a drastically different
medical meaning than prenatal (before birth), to prevent even an investigation
where a living child is allowed to die between one and four weeks AFTER
birth. That's infanticide. (End Quote)
Sidney Powell wrote,
Quote: Gov. Kristi Noem on Wednesday
signed a bill to bar state election officials from accepting donations for
election operating costs, taking aim at Mark Zukerberg's
(Facebook) donations that in 2020 helped officials hold elections in the midst of the pandemic.
Zukerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, in 2020,
donated $350 million nationwide to help local election offices collect and count
ballots. Those donations, which were made through the Chicago-based Center for
Technology and Civic Life, have been targeted in Republican-run states, spurred
by anger and suspicion that Zuckerberg's money benefited Democrats.
"Elections should be funded by government, and we will not risk
creating avenues for big-tech billionaires to unfairly influence our free and
open election's," Noem said in a statement that
disparaged the donations as "Zuck Bucks." (End Quote)
There is a lot going on in our world today, especially in the
spiritual realm! There are several demon possessed
people in our government going all the way to the top. They are cleverly hidden
until pushed into a corner or face with someone who knows how to deal with
them.
Have a great week and remember, we have nothing to fear because
greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world. And remember we,
the United States, have a covenant with the Lord because our forefathers chose
to establish this nation based on the word of God so we could have freedom to
serve the Lord.
